The 'Goat-rabbit'

In 1990, we rediscovered at a neighbour's Goat - Rabbita rabbit which we knew well because in the 1960s it was widespread in our area known as the 'goat-rabbit.' We have never seen it since then. When shown at exhibitions, not many farmers recognised it, but they all called it by the same name.

Goat - RabbitUnknown by the S.C.A.F. ('the French Central Agricultural Society'), but geneticlly traceable, all we had to do was present the evidence : we were lucky to find, on a farm, an authentic group of rabbits which were greatly appreciated for their amazing colour and which were worthy of the official breed name - and only 1 kilometre from our own 'Ferme Conservatoire.'
